Improve outcomes by making better stenting decisions with FFR

FFR measured by the PressureWire X guidewire is a risk stratification tool that helps guide revascularization, as seen in the FAME and FAME 2 trials.6

At EuroPCR 2018, the FAME 2 5-year7 follow-up data showed:

  • FFR-guided PCI improves major adverse cardiac events compared to medical therapy alone at 5 years
  • This benefit is driven mainly by a reduction in urgent revascularization, but also reductions in myocardial infarctions

RESTING FULL-CYCLE RATIO (RFR)

is a new resting physiological index that doesn't require hyperemia.6

  • Resting indices offer an alternative to FFR in some cases (e.g., when hyperemia is clinically contraindicated for a patient)
  • RFR is a novel resting index that scans the entire cardiac cycle to find Pd/Pa where flow is maximized7, regardless of whether that's in systole or diastole
  • Because of its unique algorithm, RFR has the potential to unmask significant stenoses that might be missed by other resting indices (e.g., iFR, DPR) that only utilize data from the diastolic phase
  • Pullbacks with RFR may be used to assess serial stenoses or diffuse disease
