Designed to Outperform, Built to Outlast

We are introducing the future of cardiac care with Assert-IQ™ ICM, Abbott’s innovative insertable cardiac monitor (ICM). Our state-of-the-art Bluetooth®-enabled ICM, sometimes referred to as a loop recorder, transforms the cardiac monitoring landscape and sets a new standard for continuous monitoring and automatic arrhythmia detection.

Assert-IQ ICM is the longest lasting Bluetooth® ICM,1-8 designed to provide true value with reduced false positives, simplified clinic workflows, and a reduced data burden.9-12

This innovative ICM offers a long-lasting battery life despite its small size, making it an ideal device for patients to integrate into their daily lives seamlessly.

Assert-IQ™ ICM's six-year battery life allows for continuous monitoring of heart activity and seamless transmission of data to physicians and clinics, which is particularly helpful for patients with infrequent symptoms.

With Assert-IQ ICM, physicians will be able to detect arrhythmias more accurately9-13 and see EGM details more clearly.14 Additionally, our Assert-IQ ICM device is MR Conditional for both 1.5 Tesla (T) and 3T MRI scans.

Longest Lasting Bluetooth® ICM Technology

Building on a reputation for innovation, Assert-IQ is the longest lasting Bluetooth®-enabled ICM that operates at full functionality beyond six years with no compromises.1-8,15 Abbott provides two battery life options for monitoring. The first option has a minimum of three years which may be suitable for traditional monitoring reasons such as diagnosing syncope, palpitations, or detection of atrial fibrillation (AF) within cryptogenic stroke patients. The second option has a minimum of six years which may be suitable for longer term monitoring of patients undergoing therapy and at risk of developing further arrhythmias.

Advanced Algorithms for Clinically Actionable Data

Assert-IQ ICM’s technology is designed to reduced false detections while maintaining sensitivity for true events.9,10 Our 5-step AF algorithm significantly reduces data burden compared to competitor devices without sacrificing sensitivity.*,9,16,17

These cutting-edge algorithms are built to deliver accurate and reliable results, allowing healthcare professionals to confidently make informed decisions.

Data Burden

Assert-IQ ICM’s advanced algorithms reduce false detections by 98.7% for AF and Pause, while maintaining 97.7% of true EGMs.9,10

When compared to the latest version of LINQII, Assert-IQ ICM’s AF algorithm reduces data burden by 21% while maintaining sensitivity.*,9,16,17

Key Episodes**—Optimized for Each Arrhythmia Type

While other devices on the market try to reduce data burden by using a standard set of criteria for all types of arrhythmias, Assert-IQ ICM’s Key Episode** technology is a unique feature that tailors the data to the arrhythmia type.

This cloud-based technology evaluates each arrhythmia individually, resulting in more clinically relevant data, and can be easily toggled on and off according to the specific needs of your patients and clinic.

Assert-IQ ICM’s flexibility to toggle between viewing all episodes or 3 Key Episodes** that are most critical to your patient’s care allows for a more personalized approach to patient management, providing healthcare providers valuable insights to help inform treatment decisions.

Clear, Crisp EGMs

With Assert-IQ ICM, you can expect to get clear, crisp EGMs for improved visualization of P-waves, which could lead to a faster care decision for your patients.14

New IQ Insights

Assert-IQ ICM’s intelligent insights deliver an enhanced understanding of patients’ cardiovascular health, enabling clinicians to customize care plans according to each patient’s individual needs. The Assert-IQ ICM is equipped with supplementary sensors that capture these innovative diagnostic metrics, providing clinicians with a more comprehensive understanding of patients’ heart health.

Intelligent patient insight reports include these new diagnostics:

Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVCs)
Capture consecutive events including couplets and triplets.13

Elevated Heart Rate with and without Activity
An ICM first.1-8

Body Position & Posture Changes
Assess patient factors to help adjudicate episodes.

Direct Trend Viewer
Assess AF Burden, PVCs, Activity Trends, and MORE.
