COURSE INFORMATION

PCI MASTERS:

The focus of this course is to understand the best clinical practices that will facilitate consistent high quality therapy delivery in order to maximize the potential for best clinical outcomes when treating patients with CAD. This course offers unique interactive case based didactic learning in a group format practicum, hands on complications management, technical skills labs, and product training workshops that utilize OCT, DES, guide wires and vessel closure.

CHIP Courses

CHIP courses offer extended customized learning focused on therapeutic assessment and technical skill development in a clinical setting. The course curriculum includes Side Branch Access, Large Vessel Atherectomy, LV support and Large Hole Closure.

CTO Training Program

The objective of our CTO Training Program is to increase access to this therapy for patients by teaching the “Hybrid Algorithm.” Our curriculum includes didactic courses, live case courses, and proctorships. If you have a physician interested in learning CTO-PCI, or want to learn more about the program, contact your local Abbott sales representative.

PCI Optimization Course (MD)

This OCT Optimization course will describe the process for image acquisition, interpretation, and understanding the benefits of pre- and post- PCI OCT assessments.

PCI Optimization Course (STAFF)

For this course, program faculty will review image acquisition, workflow, interpretation, and best practices either in a cath lab and/or animal lab setting.

OCT Proctor

A specialized training opportunity for those that need more advanced technical training and require additional support implementing Abbott's OCT and FFR technologies in a cath lab environment.

Intended to address regional MedEd needs to further develop HCP and AHCP proficiency with OCT FFR. Limited to 4 attendees maximum.

ENDOMASTERS

The focus of this course is to understand the best clinical practices that will facilitate consistent high quality therapy delivery in order to maximize the potential for best clinical outcomes when treating patients with PAD. This course offers a practical, case-based approach to endovascular interventions with a focus on identifying treatment modalities, evaluating vascular access for a variety of interventions, and formulating treatment algorithms that can be used in every day practice.



 

Carotid Fundamentals (device certification)

This course offers participant discussion and hands-on workshops that focus on the therapeutic considerations for carotid artery stenting and the indications for use with Abbott’s carotid products.

Endo Proctor

A specialized training opportunity limited to 1 to 2 trainees with a faculty proctor. Endo Proctor programs can encompass the following: a dinner lecture, a day of cases in the cath lab, or a combination of the two.

Clinical areas of focus can include: Endovascular treatment of SFA/pop disease, Carotid Artery Stenting, Vessel Closure Techniques.

Vessel Closure*

The agenda covers didactic topics such as safe femoral arterial and alternative access techniques and potential complications. Workshops will cover ultrasound, percutaneous axillary access and vascular closure devices.

*Workshops at this program, that are related to Abbott’s vessel closure products, do not satisfy the device training requirements.

CORONARY FELLOWS: TOTAL PCI SOLUTIONS

This Fellows course utilizes a system-based teaching method, didactic modules, interactive case reviews, and hands-on product modeling workshops. Fellows will be challenged to rethink treatment strategy and product selection based on the clinical insight and treatment rationale from the program faculty.

CORONARY FELLOWS: THE PCI TOOLBOX – FROM DESIGN TO PRACTICE

This course will provide an in-depth manufacturing overview and plant tour, along with hands-on workshops. Attendees will come away with a much deeper understanding of product components and the engineering principles behind stents, wires and balloons, leading to a better grasp of product performance in the clinical setting.

ENDOFELLOWS: MASTERING COMPLEX PERIPHERAL INTERVENTIONS

This Fellows course utilizes a system-based teaching method, didactic modules, interactive case reviews, and hands-on product modeling workshops. Fellows will be challenged to rethink treatment strategies and product selection based on the clinical insight and treatment rationale from the program faculty.

ENDOFELLOWS: THE PERIPHERAL TOOLBOX – FROM DESIGN TO PRACTICE

This course also utilizes a system-based teaching method that includes didactic modules, interactive case reviews, hands-on product modeling workshops and an in-depth manufacturing overview and plant tour. Fellows will be challenged to rethink treatment strategy and product selection based on the clinical insight and treatment rationale from the program faculty. In addition, attendees will also come away with a much deeper understanding of product components and the engineering principles behind them, leading to a better grasp of product performance in the clinical setting.
