What is Happening

Telephone companies are updating their cellular networks. As a result of cellular providers’ plans to shut down their 2G and 3G cellular networks, you must take certain steps to maintain connectivity with your device.

These devices include:

  • CardioMEMS™ Patient Electronics System (PES) used to send daily Pulmonary Artery (PA) Sensor readings to your doctor
  • Merlin@home™ transmitter for remote monitoring of patients with implanted devices for cardiac rhythm management, such as pacemakers and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs)

What to Do

You have the following options to maintain connectivity:

If your system is already transmitting via Wi-Fi or telephone landline, no action is required.

Merlin@home Transmitter

A new cellular adapter will be sent directly to the address as provided by your doctor’s office; it is important that this information is accurate.

If you believe that your address is not correct, please contact your clinic. Cellular adapters will be shipped after the clinic has confirmed the accuracy of their patient information and prior to network shutdowns.
