What is the AVEIR™ Patient Transmitter?
If you have been provided an AVEIR Patient Transmitter it can securely transmit data from your implanted AVEIR Leadless Pacemaker System remotely to your doctor or clinic without having to visit in person.
The AVEIR Patient Transmitter can:
- Gather device diagnostics data from your AVEIR Leadless Pacemaker System
- Acquire an electrocardiogram (ECG), or, snapshot of your heart rhythm. Note that the collected ECG is not meant for diagnosis.
- Allow your doctor or clinic the opportunity to receive timely information about your AVEIR Leadless Pacemaker System from the Merlin.net™ Patient Care Network (the portal for your doctor or clinic).
How does the AVEIR Patient Transmitter work?
The AVEIR Patient Transmitter communicates with your implanted AVEIR Leadless Pacemakers through skin contact and collects diagnostic device data. The Transmitter will send this collected data to the Merlin.net™ Patient Care Network (PCN) server using the available cellular network connectivity, for your physician to review. Remote monitoring of your device allows your physician to assess device function without requiring your presence in clinic. Many doctors use remote monitoring along with visits to the clinic.
