Foundations of Heart Failure Management

For Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellows and Surgical Residents.

This program is designed for physicians that are interested in learning more about technology for heart failure (HF) management. HF is a rapidly growing epidemic in the United States. It is a chronic disease that deteriorates patients and places an enormous strain on the healthcare system. This unique educational symposium has been developed to bridge existing knowledge gaps and fulfill unmet clinical needs relating to optimal heart failure management strategies. The program will demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the integration of technology to provide the standard of care for these patients. The world-class faculty will share their expert insights and impart their knowledge about both non-invasive and invasive care strategies. A comprehensive review of evidence based medicine will assess the cost effectiveness of implementing the latest technology to manage heart failure. The forum will include lectures, panels, case studies, hands-on techniques as well as question and answer sessions. This dynamic, interactive and highly educational activity has been designed by physicians for physicians to enhance the learning experience and professional growth for the next generation of practitioners.

This educational symposium has been developed to highlight and address knowledge gaps with regard to optimal heart failure management strategies, emphasizing the population with advanced heart failure. At the conclusion of the program, we anticipate that participants will have a greater understanding of how to optimize medical and device therapy for patients across the full spectrum of heart failure, and appropriately integrate emerging technologies to enhance longitudinal management. A group of world-class faculty will highlight evidence-based strategies heart failure treatment and provide practical.
